Marilene Menezes de Figueiredo, known artistically as Mila Menezes, is a Brazilian musician who gained prominence as the bassist and founder of the heavy metal band Volkana. Born in Brasília, Distrito Federal, Menezes began her musical career in the mid-1980s, influenced by rock and metal bands.

Mila Menezes is recognized for her bass-playing skills and her contribution to strengthening the female presence in the Brazilian metal scene. In addition to her work with Volkana, which released two albums and left a mark on the national rock scene, she was also a member of the band Detrito Federal from 1985 to 1986. Her career in music is marked by dedication and a passion for heavy metal.

After leaving Volkana, Mila Menezes continued her professional journey by exploring other areas. She also earned a degree in information technology and, in parallel, developed a career in the fashion industry, eventually creating her own brand. Despite having stepped away from the stage, her influence as a pioneer of women in metal in Brazil remains relevant.
