Mona Gadelha is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, journalist, author, and producer born in Fortaleza in 1960. She emerged in the mid-1970s as a pioneer of the rock scene in her hometown alongside peers like Siegbert Franklin and Ricardo Augusto Rocha. Her early artistic journey crossed paths with significant cultural movements, notably participating in the legendary Massafeira project organized by Ednardo, which led to a landmark double vinyl album featuring her composition "Cor de Sonho".

Over the decades, she has released several acclaimed albums, starting with her self-titled debut in 1996, followed by works such as Cenas & Dramas, Tudo se Move, and Salve a Beleza. Her music blends rock, blues, and regional influences, earning international recognition with tracks like "Saint-Denis-Ceará" reaching audiences in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Alongside her musical career, she has maintained a prolific path as a writer, publishing biographical profiles and short stories, as well as serving as a cultural coordinator and founding the independent label Brazilbizz.
