Biography

Daniel Augusto, better known by his stage name Mr. Dan, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and keyboardist born in São Paulo, SP. His musical career began in childhood, around the age of 8, as the lead singer of a children's group. Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder, Mr. Dan developed a musical style that blends danceable rhythms, romantic lyrics, and engaging melodies, featuring influences from black music, R&B, and soul, combined with electronic beats and acoustic instruments.

Before launching his solo career, Mr. Dan accumulated significant experience as a musician and backing vocalist in important pagode and samba groups, including Os Travessos – the band of his brother Rodriguinho –, Exaltasamba, and Turma do Pagode. He was also a member of the bands Gibi and Amsterdan. This journey allowed him to compose hits for several renowned artists in the genre, such as Exalta, Thiaguinho, Péricles, and his own brother, Rodriguinho.

In 2005, Mr. Dan began his solo career, releasing his first self-authored album, "Pecado", produced by Rodriguinho and Bozzo Barretti. Over the years, he has released several albums and DVDs, consolidating his presence in the Brazilian music scene. His work is recognized for its fusion of genres and the quality of his compositions, which has earned him critical acclaim and a loyal audience.
