Biography

Mu Chebabi, born Alfredo José Murilo Chebabi, is a Brazilian composer, singer, and instrumentalist. He first gained prominence in the early 1980s as a member of the band Falange Canibal. His career also saw him collaborate extensively with the humor group Casseta & Planeta, for whom he served as a musical director and producer for their television show "Casseta & Planeta Urgente." This role involved creating musical parodies for the weekly broadcast.

Chebabi's musical contributions extend to several albums with the Casseta & Planeta group, including "Preto com um buraco no meio" (1989) and "Para comer alguém" (1994). In 2001, he released his self-titled album, "Mu Chebabi," which featured collaborations with notable Brazilian artists such as Lenine and Lula Queiroga. His work has also been featured on soundtracks, including the telenovela "Gabriela" (2012) with the song "A Morena" co-written with Luiza Casé, and the film "E Aí, Comeu?" with "Vidro Fumê."

Throughout his career, Mu Chebabi has demonstrated versatility in his musical endeavors, contributing to various projects that blend humor, music, and Brazilian culture.
