Biography

Musica Diablo was a Brazilian thrash metal band formed in São Paulo in 2008. The band's inception was driven by guitarist Andre NM's desire to play thrash metal, leading him to recruit friends for weekly jam sessions. Initially, they focused on covers of bands like Kreator and Nuclear Assault while developing their own compositions.

The defining moment for Musica Diablo came when Andre NM invited Derrick Green, the vocalist of the renowned Brazilian metal band Sepultura, to join as their frontman. Green's involvement provided a significant boost to the project, and under his vocal direction, the band became highly productive, completing 15 compositions by mid-2009. The lineup was further solidified with the addition of guitarist André Curci.

Musica Diablo's sound was characterized by extreme speed, a distinct Brazilian style, and strong roots in 1980s thrash metal. They recorded their self-titled debut album in Rio de Janeiro in early 2010, with Derrick Green recording his vocals in São Paulo later that year. The album was produced by Rafael Ramos and released in May 2010. Green amicably left the band in 2011 to focus on his commitments with Sepultura.
