Nabor Pires Camargo was a prominent Brazilian clarinetist, teacher, and composer, born in Indaiatuba, São Paulo, on February 9, 1902. From childhood, he showed a great interest in music, learning to play the clarinet in secret and, later, participating in a children's band in his hometown. His dedication to the instrument led him to move to the capital of São Paulo in 1922, where he entered the Dramatic and Musical Conservatory.
His musical career was marked by versatility, performing in classical music orchestras and also standing out in the world of choro. Nabor Pires Camargo is widely recognized for his refined technique, musical elegance, and passion for choro, a genre he helped popularize. In addition to his work as an instrumentalist and composer, Nabor Pires Camargo dedicated himself to teaching, being the author of the "Método para Clarineta" (Clarinet Method), published by Irmãos Vitale.
