Biography

Nailbomb was originally formed as a side project by vocalist and guitarist Max Cavalera, known for his work with Sepultura and Soulfly, alongside guitarist and vocalist Alex Newport. The group quickly gained attention with their aggressive industrial metal sound and the release of their debut studio album, Point Blank, in 1994 via Roadrunner Records.

For the recording of their landmark album, the core duo was joined by prominent Brazilian musicians including drummer Igor Cavalera and guitarist Andreas Kisser, both bandmates of Max Cavalera in Sepultura. The project also featured guest contributions from international artists, cementing its status as a unique collaborative effort in the heavy metal scene.

After decades of inactivity, Nailbomb made a triumphant return to the stage by reuniting in Tempe, Arizona, and subsequently launching a regular touring schedule. Throughout their history, the project has connected members of legendary Brazilian heavy metal royalty with various international musicians, leaving a lasting legacy in extreme music.
