Biography

Nalva de Fátima Aguiar was born in Tupaciguara, Minas Gerais, on October 9, 1945. She established herself as one of the great pioneers of country music and música sertaneja in Brazil, earning the title of the great lady of música sertaneja throughout her artistic career.

Her discography is extensive and includes several single records and studio albums released by record labels such as Chantecler, Beverly, Epic, CBS, and RGE. She shared works and partnerships with important names in national culture, such as collaborations with Teixeirinha on the album Guerra dos Desafios and recordings of classics like the song Beijinho Doce, composed by Nhô Pai.

In addition to her remarkable musical career, Nalva Aguiar also left her mark on Brazilian cinema, acting in productions like Adorável Trapalhão, alongside Renato Aragão, and in the film Sinfonia Sertaneja, starring opposite Geraldo Meirelles. In her personal life, she was married to rodeo pioneer Tião Procópio.
