Nando Borges is a singer-songwriter from Bahia who stood out in the Brazilian music scene starting in the 1980s, establishing himself as one of the great names in axé music. His career is marked by a strong connection to the Salvador Carnival, where he worked as a lead singer on trio elétrico trucks for traditional blocs such as Cheiro de Amor and Fala Garoto, in addition to performing in renowned VIP boxes (camarotes). Throughout his career, Nando Borges has accumulated several awards, including the Caymmi Trophy and the SBT Gold Plaque, and won first place at the Salvador Carnival Official Theme Song Selection Festival.
