Biography
Vinicius Leonard Moreira, known artistically as Nave, is a renowned Brazilian music producer, beatmaker, and composer. Born in Joinville and raised in Curitiba, he began his musical journey in the early 2000s as a member of the rap group Savave. Over time, he developed a unique sonic identity that blended boom bap aesthetics with jazz, samba, and bossa nova samples, distancing himself from North American trap and valuing national musicality.
His consolidation in the rap scene came through prominent partnerships with artists such as Marcelo D2, producing the hit "Desabafo", and with Karol Conká, serving as the main producer of the acclaimed album Batuk Freak. In addition, he built a solid collaboration with rapper Emicida, producing several striking works that culminated in winning a Latin Grammy in 2020 for the album AmarElo.
Beyond his work with big names in the Brazilian urban scene, Nave also stands out in the instrumental landscape, releasing projects focused on lo-fi hip hop and soul textures. Recognized as a true crate digger, the producer continues to influence generations and expand the boundaries of contemporary rap sound in Brazil, closely collaborating with artists like Criolo, Flora Matos, and Rashid.
