With a solid background in classical music and a career in European jazz, Krassik moved to Rio de Janeiro in 2001, drawn by Brazilian rhythms. His adaptation to national genres, such as choro, samba, and forró, impressed audiences and critics alike, leading him to collaborate with renowned Brazilian artists such as Chico Buarque, Beth Carvalho, Yamandú Costa, Gilberto Gil, Marisa Monte, Hamilton de Holanda, Lenine, Carlos Malta, and João Bosco.
Krassik is known for his instrumental interpretations inspired by diverse popular Brazilian rhythms, combining the tradition of jazz improvisation with the musical richness of Brazil. His work with the group Cordestinos is also notable, exploring a fusion between northeastern Brazilian music and European jazz.
