Biography

Born in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Nina Wirtti was raised in a musically rich environment, influenced by her father, the singer-songwriter Antonio Gringo, and her siblings, Guto (bassist) and Graziela (singer-songwriter). This upbringing, filled with festivals, shows, and recordings, laid the foundation for her career.

In 2006, Wirtti moved to Rio de Janeiro, where she began to make her mark. Her song "Mãos vazias" was recorded by the singer Luka in the same year. She formed her first musical group and performed in various venues across the city. By 2009, she was part of the recording of "Os Dez Sambas Finalistas" for the "2º Concurso de Sambas de Quadra." Her involvement with the group Regional Nacional, starting in 2010, further solidified her presence in the Rio music scene, performing samba, choro, waltzes, and modinhas.

Wirtti's discography includes the album "Joana de tal..." (2012), produced by her brother Guto Wirtti, which explores Brazilian music traditions from the pre-Bossa Nova era. Her 2023 release, "Flor da estrada," directed by Marcelo Costa and Guto Wirtti, features collaborations with artists like Marcos Sacramento, Bebê Kramer, Antonio Gringo, Grazie Wirtti, and Socorro Lira. Her recent work includes the single "Loka" (2020) and the EP "Embrujo" (2026).
