Biography

Nuno Álvares Páscoa de Almeida Ramos, known artistically as Nuno Ramos, was born in São Paulo on March 5, 1960. During his youth, he attended Colégio Equipe, where he was part of the group that later gave rise to the famous band Titãs, marking his initial proximity to the Brazilian cultural and musical scene before directing his main career toward visual arts and literature.

With a degree in philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FFLCH/USP) between 1978 and 1982, Nuno also worked as an editor of literary publications in the 1980s. In 1983, he consolidated his path in painting by founding the Casa 7 studio alongside other exponents of the visual arts, later expanding his production to sculptures, installations, set designs, and prominent literary works.
