Biography

O'Hara Ravick Martins Souza is a Brazilian singer born in Paulista, Pernambuco. She began her musical journey at the tender age of thirteen, performing in local bars before transitioning into the vibrant world of electronic forró. Throughout her career, she has lent her voice to numerous prominent regional groups, establishing herself as a versatile and enduring presence in northeastern popular music.

Before joining her current major outfit, O'Hara built an extensive resume by singing with several well-known forró and axé ensembles. Her early travels through the genre included stints with bands such as Mala Mansa, Mato Cearense, Forró Santanna, Forró Sacudido, and Forró Balancear. She later achieved wider prominence during her time with Limão com Mel from 2012 to 2014, and subsequently spent several years with the band Magníficos from 2018 until 2023, alongside a notable multi-year run with the axé band Axerife and a brief period with Forró dos Plays.

In 2019, while performing with Magníficos, she landed a major career milestone when the song "É Amor Demais" was featured on the soundtrack of the Globoplay series Aruanas. Building upon her established popularity in Sergipe and across the Northeast, she joined the legendary band Calcinha Preta in April 2023, stepping into the ensemble to help carry forward its rich legacy alongside artists like Paulinha Abelha.
