Biography

Os Abelhudos was a prominent Brazilian children's musical group that emerged in 1985 at Rede Globo's Festival dos Festivais, where they famously performed the track "O Dono da Terra". Alongside contemporary acts like Trem da Alegria and A Turma do Balão Mágico, they dominated the Brazilian children's music scene throughout the 1980s, achieving massive popularity and earning a gold record. During their peak years, the group made frequent television appearances on high-profile programs such as Cassino do Chacrinha and Xou da Xuxa.

The original line-up featured members Rodrigo and Diego—sons of Renato Corrêa, a member of Golden Boys who served as the group's music producer—alongside Tatiana. Over the years, the group went through various formations, later including members such as Renata, Danielle, and Rafael. Their career highlights included successful singles like "As Crianças e os Animais", "Vampirinho", and "Dia de Paraíso", which resonated deeply with young audiences from 1986 to 1989.

Following a long hiatus, original members Rodrigo, Diego, and Renata reunited remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 to rerecord "As Crianças e os Animais" for their fans. This successful reunion led to further rerecordings in 2021, including "Dia de Paraíso", and the remastering of all their classic albums for digital streaming platforms. Despite members moving on to careers in engineering, administration, nutrition, and journalism, their enduring legacy in Brazilian children's pop culture remains fondly remembered.
