Biography

Os Amantes is a Brazilian musical project formed by singer Jaloo and the instrumental duo Strobo, blending their distinct artistic universes into a unique collaborative sound. The genesis of the project occurred naturally during conversations between the artists, who realized that the music they were creating together transcended their individual careers and deserved its own dedicated identity. In March 2020, the group introduced their sonic vision to the public by releasing their debut single "Ninguém", which served as a precursor to their self-titled full-length studio album.

To shape their distinctive musical aesthetic, the members drew deep inspiration from legendary figures of Brazilian music such as Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Maria Bethânia, and Os Mutantes. The collaboration has been affectionately described by the creators as resembling a romantic relationship on every level, bringing a sense of emotional lightness and artistic synergy to their work. Through this partnership, musicians like Arthur Kunz and Léo Chermont have been able to explore new creative boundaries alongside Jaloo, cementing Os Amantes as a vibrant presence in contemporary Brazilian alternative music.
