Biography

Os Filhos dos Caras is a musical project that brings together heirs of great icons of Brazilian popular music, paying tribute to their fathers and the musical legacy left by them. The group is formed by Wilson Simoninha (son of Wilson Simonal), Jair Oliveira (son of Jair Rodrigues), and Léo Maia (son of Tim Maia). In some formations, the project has also featured the participation of Luciana Mello and Max de Castro, children of Jair Rodrigues and Wilson Simonal, respectively.

The project emerged spontaneously in 2015, when the artists were invited to a special concert in Salvador. The idea was to create a differentiated performance that celebrated the work of their fathers. The show's repertoire consists of classics by Tim Maia, Wilson Simonal, and Jair Rodrigues, in addition to original songs by the members themselves, who also carry the musical DNA of their families. The backing band for the project is composed of experienced musicians such as Marcelo Maita (keyboard), Robinho Tavares (bass), Daniel de Paula (drums), Marcio Forte (percussion), and Guiza Ribeiro (guitar).

Os Filhos dos Caras stand out for their energy and interaction with the public, providing an experience that mixes nostalgia and the celebration of Brazilian music. The show aims to move audiences and introduce new generations to the importance and quality of the work of their fathers, central figures in the history of MPB. The project has performed several shows throughout Brazil and is in high demand for corporate events and graduations.
