Biography

Os Incríveis is a renowned Brazilian rock band formed in São Paulo in 1962, initially under the name The Clevers. The group initially stood out in the music scene of the era with covers of Italian songs, twist, and instrumental surf music, eventually hosting television programs and acting as a backing band for international artists like Rita Pavone. After disagreements with their former manager, the ensemble definitively adopted the name Os Incríveis and achieved enormous national projection.

During the height of the Jovem Guarda movement, the band consolidated its success with striking hits like "O Milionário", "Minha Oração", "Era Um Garoto Que Como Eu Amava os Beatles e os Rolling Stones", and "Eu Te Amo, Meu Brasil". This repertoire secured the group a strong popular and media presence, making them one of the biggest icons of Brazilian rock from that decade, alongside fundamental names in national music like Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos.

Following the end of the group's activities in the 1970s, its members participated in other crucial projects for national rock, such as Casa das Máquinas and Som Nosso de Cada Dia. Later, the original lineup reunited on different occasions for tours and celebrations, keeping the band's rich history alive and releasing previously unreleased material that attests to their enduring legacy in Brazilian music.
