Biography
Os Travessos is a Brazilian samba and romantic pagode musical group formed in São Paulo in 1996, emerging from a split of members of the youth ensemble Muleke Travesso. Initially led by lead singer Rodriguinho, the group quickly stood out in the recording industry during the transition to the 2000s, blending the foundation of São Paulo pagode with influences from R&B and pop music, achieving massive success with hits like "Quando a Gente Ama" and "Tô Te Filmando (Sorria)".
Throughout its trajectory, the band underwent several changes in its lineup and leadership. With Rodriguinho's departure in 2004 for a solo career, names like Fabinho Mello and later Filipe Duarte took over the main vocals of the ensemble, keeping the band active with new albums and audiovisual projects. The group also featured occasional returns by Rodriguinho for special celebrations, such as in the 2014 project which featured guest appearances by Ludmilla and Ah! Mr. Dan.
In the 2020s, following the departure of Filipe Duarte, the group came to be led by vocalist Uan, firmly maintaining its legacy in pop culture and national romantic pagode. Known for their elaborate music videos and strong appeal to young audiences, Os Travessos have accumulated multiple gold and platinum records throughout their career.
