Patria is a Brazilian black metal band formed in 2008 in Carlos Barbosa, Rio Grande do Sul. The duo was initially formed by multi-instrumentalist Mantus and vocalist Triumphsword, with the intention of creating a project that honored the raw, cold essence of early black metal while also embracing a unique South American perspective. Their music often explores themes of nihilism, nature, misanthropy, and anti-religion, blending aggressive riffing with atmospheric undertones.

Over the years, Patria has garnered critical acclaim within the underground metal scene for their uncompromising sound and consistent output of powerful releases. They are known for their ability to fuse traditional black metal with elements of their own cultural heritage, creating a distinct sound that has been recognized internationally.
