Biography

Patrícia Coelho, also known by the stage name Pat Lapin, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actress born in São Paulo. She began her career recording commercial jingles and collaborating with various musical projects, including the dance music group Sect, Suite Combo with João Marcello Bôscoli, and Projeto S with Luiz Schiavon of RPM. Her early work with Sect, such as the hits "Follow You" and "Get Away," helped establish her presence in the Brazilian music scene during the 1990s.

In 1997, she released her debut solo album, O Fim da Inocência, exclusively in Japan through Toshiba-EMI, featuring collaborations with artists like Pedro Mariano and Max de Castro. Her career gained further momentum in Brazil with the 2000 release of her album Simples Desejo, produced by Dudu Marote, which featured several tracks that became television soap opera theme songs. She achieved broader national recognition following her appearance on the reality television show Casa dos Artistas, subsequently releasing her third album, Um Pouco Maluca, through Abril Music.

Over the decades, Coelho has diversified her artistic pursuits by contributing to theater productions, film soundtracks, and independent musical projects, including collaborations with the rock band Forgotten Boys and the release of her self-titled album Pat Lapin in 2019. Her versatile career spans pop, rock, and dance music, cementing her status as a dynamic performer in Brazilian popular culture.
