Biography

Patricia Lobato is a Brazilian singer and percussionist, born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Her musical career stands out for its versatility, transitioning masterfully between Brazilian song and Indian kirtans, with influences from jazz and classical music. Throughout her journey, she has released seven CDs and two DVDs in partnership with Renato Motha, in addition to a solo album titled "Suspirações", in 2011.

Her work, often in collaboration with Renato Motha, explores the universalization of the sounds of Minas Gerais and Brazil. The duo is known for projects that value local culture, such as "Palco em Casa" in Casa Branca (MG) and "Con(S)erto das Águas", in defense of water sources. Patricia Lobato has also ventured into projects that celebrate poetry, setting works by Fernando Pessoa and Alberto Caeiro to music, and exploring Indian mantras on albums such as "Sunni-e" and "Madhu".

The artist has recognition in both the Brazilian and international markets, with tours carried out in Japan and performances in the United States. Her unique voice and sensitivity, combined with her skill on percussion, solidify her as an important figure in contemporary Brazilian music, dialoguing with artists such as Maria Rita and Mauricio Tizumba.
