Biography

Patricia Talem is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and producer who emerged onto the music scene with an eclectic sound, moving between MPB, jazz, and pop influences. Born in São Paulo, she began her career performing in bars and nightclubs around the city before moving to the United States, where she released her self-titled debut album in 2008. This work, recorded with renowned musicians like Jimmy Haslip and Russell Ferrante, earned her nominations for the "Press Award" in the Best Album and Best Tour categories.

Her second record, "Olhos" (2010), was recorded at Tony Bennett's studio and featured special guest appearances by Jane Monheit and Flávio Venturini, with whom she performed "Clube da Esquina 2". In "Olhos", Talem explored a repertoire that blended original compositions with covers of artists such as Luiz Melodia and Simply Red, demonstrating her versatility and fine musical taste. The album also marked her arrival in the Brazilian recording market, following the initial release of her work in the USA.

In 2012, Patricia Talem released "Sorte", her third album, which stood out for being the first record recorded entirely in Brazil and with all lyrics in Portuguese. The album, produced by Sandro Albert, presented a more pop sound, with influences from Minas Gerais music and electronic elements, yet without abandoning her roots in MPB and jazz. "Sorte" consolidated Patricia Talem as an artist in constant reinvention, capable of moving through different genres and musical phases, always with a sophisticated voice and a keen eye for artistic creation.
