Biography

A Patrulha do Samba is a prominent Bahian pagode group originating from the Retiro neighborhood in Salvador, Bahia. The band's classic lineup featured vocalist and songwriter Ericson, along with dancers Cladson Perez, Gal, and Rúbia, achieving widespread national and international notoriety during the years of great effervescence for axé and pagode.

The group's major commercial milestone occurred in 1999 with the release of the album Swing de Rua, which reached the impressive mark of 700 thousand copies sold. Driven by hits like Rala no Pezinho and Treme Treme, the ensemble toured several Brazilian states and took their music abroad, performing in countries such as the United States, Canada, and South Africa.

After periods of reformulation, including a return in 2013 with singer Lupão and new dancers, the band celebrated 25 years of career in 2022 by recording a commemorative DVD in Pelourinho. The performance drew an audience of over 10 thousand people and brought together illustrious guests of Brazilian music, such as É o Tchan, Molejo, singer Thiago Martins, and Bahian artist Tatau, reaffirming their historical importance in the country's festive scene.
