Biography

Paul Ralphes is a British bass guitarist and music producer who has been based in Brazil since 1986. He is a founding member of the British group Bliss, which he formed in 1986 with vocalist Rachel Morrison. Bliss achieved notable chart success in Europe, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand with singles like "I Hear You Call" and "How Do You Feel…the Morning After." The band released two albums, "Loveprayer" (1989) and "A Change in the Weather" (1991), before going on hiatus.

In Brazil, Ralphes has established a significant career as a music producer and A&R executive. He served as the artistic director for Universal Music Brazil from August 2010 until April 2017. During his tenure, he was involved in producing albums for various Brazilian artists, including CPM 22's "Suor e Sacrifício." His work has been recognized with Latin Grammy Awards, including wins for Best Brazilian Roots Album and Best Sertaneja Music Album.

Ralphes's career highlights also include his involvement with the band Bliss, which reunited in 2006. His extensive work in the Brazilian music industry has made him a respected figure, contributing to the success of numerous artists and projects.
