Biography

Paula Toller Amora was born in Rio de Janeiro and emerged on the Brazilian music scene in the early 1980s as the lead singer of the iconic band Kid Abelha e os Abóboras Selvagens. Alongside colleagues like Leoni, she helped shape the group's pop rock sound, which landed numerous hits on radio stations across the country before the band's activities ended in 2016. Alongside the group, the singer built a solid solo career, marked by standout albums and partnerships with major names in national music.

In her solo trajectory, which began with her self-titled 1998 album, Paula Toller moved with elegance through strands of MPB and pop, recording her own compositions and striking covers of artists like Assis Valente, Rita Lee, and Caetano Veloso. Later works like SóNós consolidated her artistic versatility alongside musicians and composers like Dado Villa-Lobos and Liminha. Beyond music, she also ventured into children's literature with the publication of the book "Oito anos", inspired by one of her most beloved songs and re-recorded by Adriana Calcanhotto.

Recognized for her unmistakable voice and strong stage presence, Paula participated in major projects like Nivea Viva Rock Brasil, sharing the stage with names like Nando Reis, Pitty, and Os Paralamas do Sucesso. Throughout decades of dedication to art, she has remained one of the most prominent and respected female figures in Brazilian rock and pop, celebrating her career in highly successful tours like the "Amorosa" tour.
