Biography

Paulo Gaiger is a Brazilian singer, composer, and actor with a significant presence in the cultural scene of Rio Grande do Sul. He gained recognition in the early 1990s for his participation in collective albums and projects like "Coompor Canta Lupi," a initiative by the Porto Alegre Musicians Cooperative. In 1997, Gaiger released his solo album "Armazém," which was well-received by national critics and supported by Fumproarte of Porto Alegre.

Beyond his musical career, Gaiger has also been involved in theater as an actor and director. He holds a doctorate in Education and has served as an adjunct professor at UFPel (Federal University of Pelotas), where he also coordinated Art and Culture for the Pro-Rectory of Extension and Culture. His theatrical work includes directing several musical performances that have garnered critical and public acclaim.

Gaiger is also known for his work with the trio "Nó de Pinho," alongside fellow musicians and UFPel professors Thiago Colombo and Leandro Maia. He has performed solo concerts, often featuring voice and guitar, presenting his own compositions and works by other artists. His music often explores poetic and musical themes, as seen in his show "Palavras para Júlia."
