Biography

Paulo Monarco is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist who began his career in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. His musical journey started with participation in various works as a composer, singer, acoustic guitarist, and arranger, in addition to directing shows and producing albums for local artists. In 2007, he released his first project as a singer-songwriter, titled "Paraíso Abissal", and since then he has been recognized in national festivals, winning several awards.

Throughout his career, Monarco released the EP "Malabares com Farinha" in 2010 and participated in the project "Música do Mato", a collective of artists from Mato Grosso that toured seven Brazilian states. His music transitions through different sonorities, incorporating electroacoustic and digital elements into the acoustic guitar, his main instrument. He has performed in projects such as "Casulo" at the Tom Jazz concert hall and participated in "Inusitado – Lenine apresenta Cantautores".

Paulo Monarco also develops the project "Dois Tempos de Um Lugar" with singer and actress Dandara, authoring several songs. His work dialogues with the musical tradition of the Cuiabá lowlands and with Latin American influences, exploring rhythms such as lambadão and incorporating elements of zouk and Paraguayan polka.
