Paulo Ricardo is a renowned Brazilian singer, songwriter, musician, and actor, best known as the charismatic frontman and bassist of RPM, one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1980s. Born in Rio de Janeiro, his early exposure to music eventually led him to form the legendary band alongside keyboardist Luiz Schiavon, guitarist Fernando Deluqui, and drummer Paulo P. A. Pagni. With iconic releases like the smash-hit live album Rádio Pirata ao Vivo, the group broke sales records and defined an era of Brazilian rock history.

Following the initial dissolution of RPM, Paulo Ricardo successfully established a diverse solo career, releasing albums that featured collaborations with prominent MPB and rock figures such as Rita Lee and Toquinho. He expanded his artistic footprint into television and film, composing notable soap opera soundtracks and starring in productions like the telenovela Esperança.
