Paulo Sérgio Kostenbader Valle is one of Brazil's most prolific and celebrated lyricists, boasting a catalog of roughly 900 compositions. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he launched his career during the bossa nova era alongside his brother Marcos Valle, co-authoring the international standard "Samba de Verão" in 1964. Throughout his expansive career, he collaborated with numerous prominent composers, helping shape various facets of Brazilian popular music across multiple decades.

His lyrical versatility allowed him to explore diverse themes and musical genres, moving fluidly from bossa nova and samba-canção to protest songs, soul, and romantic ballads. Notable works include the politically charged "Viola enluarada," the soul anthem "Black is beautiful" with Tim Maia, and the mega-hit "Evidências," co-written with José Augusto and made famous by Chitãozinho & Xororó. He also partnered with hitmakers like Michael Sullivan and Chico Roque, crafting enduring successes for interpreters such as Fafá de Belém, Ivete Sangalo, Só pra Contrariar, and Alcione.

Beyond his contributions to MPB and commercial radio hits, Valle has made significant marks in advertising with memorable jingles and even composed the anthem for Goiás Esporte Clube.
