Paulo Tatit is a prominent Brazilian musician, composer, and arranger, widely recognized for his significant contributions to children's music and his involvement in avant-garde musical movements. He began his musical journey in 1974 as a co-founder of the influential group Rumo, which became a key player in São Paulo's music scene during the 1980s. During his time with Rumo, Tatit honed his skills as a guitarist, bassist, and arranger, developing a distinctive style that would shape his later work.

In 1994, Tatit formed the duo Palavra Cantada with Sandra Peres, a project that would redefine Brazilian children's music. Palavra Cantada is celebrated for its high-quality songs, characterized by poetic lyrics, rich arrangements, and a deep respect for children's intelligence and sensibilities. Their music often draws inspiration from Brazilian popular music genres like samba and baião, creating a unique blend that resonates with both children and adults. The duo has released numerous acclaimed albums, earning multiple awards, including the Prêmio Sharp and Prêmio Tim.

Beyond his work with Palavra Cantada, Paulo Tatit has collaborated with various artists, including Arnaldo Antunes, and has also ventured into other projects like "Siricutico" with Filipe Edmo.
