Biography

Pedro Baby is a renowned Brazilian musician, composer, and producer, born in 1978 in Rio de Janeiro. Son of iconic musicians Pepeu Gomes and Baby do Brasil, Pedro grew up immersed in the musical universe, which led him to begin his artistic journey at the age of 14, learning to play the acoustic guitar with the help of Moraes Moreira. His professional career gained momentum in 1996, when he moved to the United States, where he honed his skills as a guitarist and acoustic guitarist, playing in the New York nightlife and absorbing new influences.

Throughout his career, Pedro Baby has established himself as one of the most sought-after guitarists in Brazilian popular music (MPB), collaborating with a wide range of renowned artists. His versatility and talent have led him to work with names such as Gal Costa, Marisa Monte, Tribalistas, Bebel Gilberto, Ana Carolina, Ivete Sangalo, Maria Rita, Iza, and his own father, Pepeu Gomes. In addition to his work as a musician, Pedro also stands out as a composer, having co-written hit songs such as "Velha Infância" (with Arnaldo Antunes, Carlinhos Brown, Davi Moraes, and Marisa Monte) and "Aliança" (with Arnaldo Antunes, Carlinhos Brown, Marisa Monte, and Pretinho da Serrinha).

Pedro Baby has also expanded his work into music production and artistic direction of festivals, demonstrating his comprehensive vision and commitment to the dissemination of Brazilian music.
