Biography

Pedro Braconnot Machado, artistically known as Pedro Braconnot, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and music producer born in Rio de Janeiro on December 22, 1961. He gained national notoriety as the keyboardist, vocalist, and one of the founders of the iconic Christian rock band Rebanhão, being part of the group since its initial formation alongside Janires. Over the years, he took on a leadership role in the band, writing notable hits such as the song "Palácios" and participating in fundamental albums for the renewal of Protestant music in the country.

As a music producer, Braconnot stood out especially during the 1990s, a period when he headed studios in Rio de Janeiro and produced expressive albums for various exponents of national Christian music. His work encompassed high-profile partnerships with artists such as Cristina Mel, Denise Cerqueira, and Sérgio Lopes, in addition to influencing new names in the scene such as Emerson Pinheiro and Paulo César Baruk. His work on arrangements and artistic direction contributed definitively to the consolidation of a more colloquial and contemporary language in the segment.

Alongside his music activities, Braconnot also dedicated himself to the pastoral ministry and projects in the areas of information technology and management. After periods living in the United States and working in cities such as Caratinga, he returned to the stage with Rebanhão starting in 2014, actively participating in recent celebrations and releases by the group, such as the album 35.
