Biography

Pedro Leonardo Dantas Costa is a Brazilian singer and television presenter born in Goianápolis, Goiás. As the eldest son of the renowned sertanejo singer Leonardo and nephew of the late Leandro, music has been a central part of his family heritage. He rose to fame as part of the musical duo Pedro & Thiago, alongside his cousin Thiago Costa, releasing their platinum-certified debut album Toque de Mágica in 2002.

The duo gained widespread national exposure through their participation in the Rede Globo television project Jovens Tardes hosted by Marlene Mattos. Alongside his music career, Pedro Leonardo expanded into television, competing in the reality show A Fazenda in 2009 and later hosting programs such as Festival Sertanejo on SBT and Mais Caminhos on EPTV.

In April 2012, Pedro suffered a severe car accident that led to a prolonged coma and a lengthy recovery process. Due to the lasting impacts of the accident, the duo Pedro & Thiago was officially dissolved in 2013. Today, he remains active in Brazilian television as a presenter, sharing connections to the sertanejo genre alongside artists like Zé Felipe and Hugo & Tiago.
