Biography

Pedro Miranda de Oliveira was born in Rio de Janeiro on July 27, 1976. He has built a solid career in Brazilian music as a singer, pandeiro player, and percussionist, standing out in the contemporary samba scene, especially in circle jams (rodas) and in the Lapa neighborhood of Rio.

Throughout his career, he has been part of important collective projects and collaborated with various exponents of the genre. Among his standout works are the solo albums "Coisa com coisa" (2006), "Pimenteira" (2009), and "Samba Original" (2016), in addition to participation in records with artists such as Teresa Cristina and Cristina Buarque.

Besides his work in music, Pedro Miranda has also acted as an actor, enriching his connection with the culture and theater of Rio de Janeiro. His work engages directly with the tradition of samba and with the renewal of the genre through special projects and participations in prominent national collective albums.
