Biography

Pedro & Thiago was a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed in 2002 by cousins Pedro Leonardo and Thiago Gonçalves. Pedro Leonardo is the son of the renowned sertanejo singer Leonardo, and Thiago Gonçalves is the son of the late Leandro, from the iconic duo Leandro & Leonardo. Raised in Goiânia, they were immersed in a musical environment from a young age, taking guitar lessons and honing their vocal talents.

Their debut album, "Toque de Mágica," released in 2002, achieved significant success, earning a gold record certification from ABPD. This was followed by several other albums, including "Coração de Aprendiz" (2004), "Pedro & Thiago" (2005), and "Pedro & Thiago ao vivo" (2008), which also featured a DVD and included collaborations with Leonardo. Their music often blended romantic themes with upbeat sertanejo rhythms, resonating with a wide audience across Brazil.

The duo's career spanned nearly a decade, marked by popular hits like "Pra onde você for" and "Quatro semanas de amor." In early 2011, they released their final album, "Na Estrada Como você nunca viu," before disbanding. Despite the separation, their music remains a part of the Brazilian sertanejo landscape, with their songs continuing to be remembered and enjoyed by fans.
