Biography

Phill Veras is a singer-songwriter from Maranhão who emerged as one of the breakout acts in independent Brazilian music. His musical journey began in 2012 with the release of his first work, "Valsa e Vapor", which, much like his subsequent productions, "Gaveta" (2013) and "Carpete" (2014), received critical and public acclaim. His compositions frequently explore themes such as feelings, coming of age, heartbreak, and passions, featuring a sound that conveys calmness and relatability.

The artist gained notoriety by performing on the Sunset stage at Rock in Rio in 2013, sharing the stage with names like Maria Rita and Lenine. Phill Veras also stood out for his participation in projects such as the compilation album "Mil Tom", a tribute to Milton Nascimento, in 2015. His career is marked by consistent production, including a DVD recorded at the Teatro Arthur Azevedo in São Luís.

With a smooth voice, yet a tireless dedication to his work, Phill Veras has solidified his presence in the Brazilian music scene. He has performed in various cities across the country and at major festivals, expanding his reach and winning over new fans. His music, which drifts between pop and MPB, is recognized for the poetry of its lyrics and its melodic sensitivity.
