Biography

Pedro Henrique Pereira Bendia, known artistically as PK, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter born in Rio de Janeiro. Growing up in the suburb of Ilha do Governador, he developed a passion for rap and funk music during his adolescence, initially gaining recognition through freestyle rap battles such as the famous Batalha do Real in Lapa. Before pursuing a full-time music career, he briefly studied psychology at UERJ, eventually leaving his studies behind to focus entirely on his artistic trajectory.

In 2016, PK co-founded the rap group Class A alongside rappers Oik and Igor Adamovich, releasing several successful singles and the EP Entre Sonhos e Pesadelos before the trio dissolved in late 2018. Following the group's end, he embarked on a solo career that quickly achieved mainstream success with hits like Quando a Vontade Bater. His versatile musical style bridges rap, funk, and pagode, leading to prominent collaborations with artists such as Belo, Ludmilla, and Luísa Sonza.

Throughout his career, PK has released notable projects including his debut solo EP ImPKvel and expanded his reach internationally with tours in Portugal. His ability to blend contrasting musical genres while maintaining street authenticity has solidified his position in the contemporary Brazilian urban music scene. He frequently collaborates with peers in the funk and rap genres, continuously pushing creative boundaries alongside figures like Tati Zaqui and MC Kevin o Chris.
