Biography

Plinio Profeta is a renowned Brazilian musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer, born in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Since childhood, he showed an interest in music, beginning to learn to play the acoustic guitar at 12 years of age. Later, he spent a period of six years living in Los Angeles, in the United States, where he honed his artistic training before consolidating his career on the national scene.

Throughout his trajectory, Plinio built a solid reputation in the universe of music and cinema, collaborating with several expressive artists from the Brazilian scene, such as Pedro Luis, O Rappa, Lucas Santanna, Xis, and Tiê. His versatility as a multi-instrumentalist and producer opened doors for the creation of striking soundtracks for Brazilian cinema, consolidating his name in the audiovisual industry since the early 2010s.

The artist achieved great prominence and critical recognition for his work on original soundtracks, twice winning the Brazilian Academy of Cinema's Best Original Soundtrack award, with the films "O Palhaço" in 2011 and "O Filme da Minha Vida" in 2018. In addition to these awards, he also received honors at festivals such as the Curitiba Film Festival and FESTCINE Goiânia for the film "Feliz Natal", directed by Selton Mello, in addition to having composed the soundtrack for the award-winning documentary "Divinas Divas".
