Biography

Pastor Lucas, whose artistic name is Pr. Lucas, is a prominent Brazilian contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter. Born in Santa Vitória, Minas Gerais, he grew up in the countryside of Goiás facing a humble childhood marked by hard labor and family struggles, yet he developed a deep passion for music from a very young age. Inspired by legendary gospel artist Matos Nascimento, he taught himself how to sing and play multiple instruments, eventually starting his songwriting journey in the late 1990s.

His career as a songwriter soared in the 2010s when his compositions caught the attention of major industry figures, leading him to write hits for renowned artists such as Aline Barros, Bruna Karla, and Regis Danese. In 2013, after catching the attention of Yvelise de Oliveira, he signed with the prominent gospel label MK Music and released his debut album, Faz Acontecer, followed by successful projects like Esconderijo and Pintor do Mundo. Throughout his career, Pr. Lucas has amassed billions of views with anthems like "Deus de Detalhes" and "Pintor do Mundo", cementing his legacy within Brazilian gospel music alongside contemporaries like Gerson Rufino and Wilian Nascimento.
