Biography

Formed in Santo André, São Paulo, in the late 1990s, Projetonave is a Brazilian instrumental band known for its eclectic fusion of genres, including rock, jazz, rap, dub, funk, and electronic music. The group emerged from the collaboration between guitarist Marcopablo and multi-instrumentalist Akilez, who soon invited other musicians to join them. Their early sound was characterized by a blend of punk rock, rap poetry, and aggressive blues guitar, reflecting the diverse musical landscape of the São Paulo periphery.

Projetonave gained prominence in the São Paulo underground scene, particularly through their residency at the Sarajevo club in the Baixo Augusta region. This period allowed them to experiment extensively with improvisation, instrumental sessions, and collaborations with various artists. Over the years, the band has become a significant force in the Brazilian hip-hop scene, often accompanying renowned rappers and participating in numerous recordings and live performances with artists such as KL Jay, GOG, Emicida, and Flora Matos.
