Biography

Quatro por Um is a renowned Brazilian contemporary Christian music and pop rock band, founded in 2002. The creation of the group was initiated by Emerson Pinheiro, who joined forces with talented friends Valmir Bessa, Duda Andrade, and Marcus Salles with the purpose of bringing young people closer to the church through their art. With the valuable support of Fernanda Brum and the record label MK Music, the ensemble released their debut album in 2003, marking the beginning of a highly prominent career on the national gospel scene.

Throughout thirteen years on the road, the lineup underwent a few changes, including the departure of Emerson Pinheiro in 2005 and Marcus Salles in 2010, when Klev Soares took over the vocals and made his debut on the album Uma Voz. The group consolidated their discography with seven studio albums and recorded their first live work in 2013, titled Nada é Impossível.

In February 2015, the band presented their final studio album, Deixa o Céu Descer, followed by the departure of drummer Valmir Bessa and the official closure of activities announced by Duda and Klev in December of that year. The group's relevance in Christian pop rock placed them alongside major names in the segment, such as Emerson Pinheiro and Fernanda Brum.
