Biography

Rafael Fioravante Altério was born in São Paulo on May 31, 1951. From an early age, he showed remarkable musical talent, composing his first song in honor of his daughter Laura. His professional career in music began in 1992, and since then he has been recognized for his skill as a composer, musician, and producer.

Altério is known for his musical versatility, exploring influences ranging from Italian and Arabic music to African music, with a strong focus on the song as the central element of his work. His oeuvre is marked by lyrical and melodic depth, often in partnership with his wife, lyricist Rita Altério. Throughout his career, he has released albums such as "Olhos da noite" (1996) and "Pescador da lua" (2003), which received critical and public acclaim.

In addition to his career as an artist, Rafael Altério also stands out as a music producer and entrepreneur. He owns the recording studio Sollua Estúdio & Produções, located on his property in Alambari, São Paulo, which has hosted several renowned artists. His contribution to Brazilian music also extends to the training of new generations of musicians, including his sons Gabriel and Pedro Altério, who also pursue artistic careers.
