Biography

Rafael Torres, known professionally as Raffe, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter born in São Paulo in 1991. Growing up in Vitória da Conquista with family roots in Bahia, he began writing songs at the age of ten and studied classical guitar while performing at church events. After moving back to São Paulo at age eighteen, he initially struggled to establish a musical career and worked as an outside telephone line salesman to sustain himself in the capital.

Before stepping into the spotlight as a performer, Raffe established himself as a prominent songwriter in the Brazilian music industry. He penned numerous major hits recorded by renowned acts such as Luan Santana, Marcos & Belutti, and Fernando & Sorocaba. His composition "Ao Vivo e a Cores" was famously recorded by Matheus & Kauan featuring Anitta, helping solidify his reputation as one of the country's top hitmakers and placing him high on the Ecad royalty rankings by 2018.

In 2019, Raffe launched his career as a singer by recording his debut live DVD in São Paulo. His singles quickly gained traction on national radio charts, and his track "A Vida É Um Rio" was featured on the soundtrack of the popular telenovela Salve-se Quem Puder. Through his successful transition from behind-the-scenes composer to performing artist, Raffe continues to leave a significant mark on contemporary Brazilian popular music.
