Raquel Coutinho is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and percussionist born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Her work is notable for its fusion of Brazilian rhythms, such as congado and candomblé, with elements of electronic music and organic sounds. This unique sound, which explores the voice as both percussion and harmony, has earned her national and international recognition. Her musical career received a significant boost in 2010 with the release of her debut album, "Olho d'água", which was presented at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival. The artist is also active in the fields of theater and acting, in addition to leading workshops on vocal expression and musicalization.

Raquel's second album, "Mineral", released in 2015, was produced by Marcos Suzano and featured various Brazilian artists, consolidating her position in the music scene. Her music has been described as a "soundscape" that dialogues with both ancestry and modernity. In 2022, she released the album "Koan", the result of a creative immersion that sought to unite organic percussion with the technology of beats and synths.
