Biography

Regis Danese, born João Geraldo Danese Silveira in Passos, Minas Gerais, is a prominent Brazilian singer and songwriter. He initially began his musical journey in the sertanejo genre, forming a duo before moving to Uberlândia in 1994. There, he joined the immensely popular pagode group Só Pra Contrariar as a backing vocalist, contributing as a talented songwriter who penned hits recorded by Alexandre Pires and other renowned artists.

After experiencing a religious conversion to Protestantism, Danese transitioned into contemporary Christian music, releasing his debut gospel album in 2005. He achieved national and international stardom with the massive hit "Faz um Milagre em Mim" from his 2008 album Compromisso, which earned him a Latin Grammy nomination. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable figures in Brazilian music such as Daniel, Alcione, and André Valadão, solidifying his legacy in the gospel genre.
