Biography
Remobília is a musical project formed by five former members of the renowned Brasília band Móveis Coloniais de Acaju: André Gonzales (vocals), Beto Mejía (flute), Esdras Nogueira (saxophone), Fernando Jatobá (guitar and bass) and Gustavo Dreher (keyboard). Emerging in 2019, the group was born with the proposal to celebrate the trajectory of Móveis Coloniais de Acaju, while also making room for the musicians' solo careers and presenting unreleased material.
The name "Remobília" is a direct reference to the previous band's name, suggesting a "redecoration" or a new phase for the artists. The initial idea was to hold one-off performances, recalling hits by Móveis and showcasing individual works. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the project adapted and began to focus on digital releases and original content, maintaining a connection with the public from a distance. The debut album, "Ponto Final", released in 2022, explores new sounds with influences from electronic music and vaporwave, but without losing the essence that marked the members' careers.
Remobília's sound is marked by the fusion of elements reminiscent of their previous work, such as the mixture of genres and contagious energy, alongside experimentations and an artistic maturity acquired throughout their individual trajectories. The project has featured special guest appearances by artists such as Mateo Piracés-Ugarte (Francisco, el Hombre), Moreno Veloso, Frank Jorge and Kimani, further enriching their productions. Despite being a new beginning, the "DNA of Móveis" is undeniably present, yet with an adventure into experimental spaces that bring freshness and originality to the group's work.
