Biography

Renan Benini is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and bassist, best known for his work as a member of the band Lupe de Lupe. Born in Muriaé, Minas Gerais, Benini began his musical journey in his teens, learning piano and acoustic guitar, and later discovering an interest in composing and playing other instruments. His career with Lupe de Lupe, a prominent band in the Brazilian independent rock scene, spans over a decade, with several released albums that have solidified the group's characteristic sound.

In parallel with his work in Lupe de Lupe, Renan Benini also pursues a solo career, exploring facets of his artistic identity that do not always find space in the band. His first solo EP, "Vermelho", was released in 2019, featuring songs recorded in an intimate and home-brewed fashion. More recently, in 2026, he released his first solo album, "São Francisco, 31", which brings together compositions written over the course of two decades, revisiting memories and personal experiences from his adolescence to early adulthood.

Renan Benini's solo work stands out for a more detailed approach to arrangements, harmonies, and atmosphere building, contrasting with the urgency and intensity of Lupe de Lupe.
