Biography

Renato Xisto dos Santos de Deus, known artistically as Renatinho da Bahia, was born on January 2nd in Camaçari, Bahia. His passion for music blossomed in childhood, when at the age of five he was already imitating popular singers at beach huts in Jauá, Bahia. At eleven, he formed his first band, and at sixteen, he joined the Mirim de Camaçari band, sharing vocals with Denny Denan. Later, he joined the Tambores Nativos cultural project, where he honed his musical skills and met conductor Pincel, an important figure in his career.

Renatinho's professional career gained momentum in the 1990s, with stints in bands such as Magia do Pagode and Prakata, where he released his first hit, "Melo do Bote". The major turning point in his career came in 2000, when he participated in and won the contest for lead singer of the group É o Tchan on the TV show Domingão do Faustão. With the group, he recorded six CDs and one DVD, establishing himself as one of the strong names in axé music.

After seven years with É o Tchan, Renatinho launched his solo career in 2008, releasing the project "Renatinho da Bahia - A Cara do Brasil". Since then, he has performed in several Brazilian states and abroad, bringing his swing and joy. In addition to being a singer, Renatinho da Bahia also stands out as a songwriter and chef, demonstrating his artistic versatility. He released his autobiography "Quem Tem História Conta" and collaborated with artists such as Gretchen, reinforcing his relevance in Brazilian music.
