Biography

Renato Constandt Terra, known artistically as Renato Terra, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, musician, arranger, and music producer, born in Rio de Janeiro on April 1, 1953. The son of a maestro father and a music teacher mother, he began his musical studies with classical piano. His music career was consolidated in the 80s, with a romantic pop style that led him to sell over one million copies between 1981 and 1997, with nine albums released. The hit "Bem-te-vi" is one of his greatest successes as a singer.

Throughout his career, Renato Terra has worked and recorded with several renowned artists of Brazilian music, such as Milton Nascimento, Djavan, Gal Costa, Maria Bethânia, Wagner Tiso, Beto Guedes, Chico Buarque, Tim Maia, Léo Gandelman, Fábio Jr., Victor Biglione, and Erasmo Carlos. In addition to his career as a performer, he stood out as a composer, arranger, and music producer, also contributing soundtracks for commercials, soap operas, and films, such as "Bossa Nova", "Sonhos e Desejos", and "Os Desafinados".

In 2007, he released the CD and DVD "Renato Terra & Amigos", recorded live in Aracaju, with the participation of artists such as Marcos Sabino, Claudia Telles, and Biafra. After a period away from the stage between 1998 and 2006 to dedicate himself to his studio, Renato Terra resumed his music career, releasing new works and continuing to perform around the country.
